Understand yourself. Connect with others. Grow together.
Sometimes we know something isn't working, but we don't fully understand why. Therapy at Self & Together begins with curiosity — about yourself, and about the people you love.
We may find ourselves repeating the same argument with someone we love, reacting more strongly than we intended, withdrawing when we want connection, or carrying experiences from the past into relationships that matter to us today.
At Self & Together Family Therapy, I believe meaningful change begins with understanding — understanding yourself, your emotions, experiences, patterns, sensitivities, strengths, and the ways your nervous system responds to stress and connection. And understanding the people you love, who may experience the same situation very differently from you.
Therapy creates a place to become curious about those differences without judgment, and discover new ways of responding to yourself and to one another.
Understand
Before we try to change a pattern, we work to understand it — the emotions, attachment experiences, protective strategies, and nervous-system responses beneath your reactions.
Connect
Understanding ourselves helps us understand each other. Whether working individually, as a couple, or as a family, therapy can build greater emotional safety and meaningful connection.
Grow
Understanding creates choices. Growth isn't about becoming a different person — it's learning how to work with who you are while creating healthier ways of relating.

My work integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment and family-systems perspectives, trauma-informed care, Play Therapy, and Polyvagal-informed approaches to nervous-system regulation.
The approach is individualized because people are individualized. You don't have to become someone else to grow — sometimes you need to understand yourself differently.
Find the right starting point

Couples Therapy
Understand each other. Reconnect. Grow together. We become curious about the cycle that has developed between you, rather than deciding who is right and who is wrong.

Trauma & Healing
Gentle support for a more regulated and resilient you. Rather than asking “what's wrong with me,” trauma-informed therapy invites a different question: what did my system learn it needed to do to protect me?
